War of the Worlds
Comparing the War of the Worlds movie with the tape of the actual radio cast its two diffrent stories yet some how there similiar. Listening to it on the tape though beat the movie and Tom Cruieses over dramatic acting. I felt really intune while listening to it, very entertaining. I was very suprised that the sound and everything else was created and confined in one room. Even though it was a fake story people beleived it, this just shows how important the media is and how people are to attached to it, that is what Orwell was trying to show. The hidden message was that media in the form of radios and television is more of an enemy to us than martians from outer space, and that we should not let the media consume us.
Happy Birthday Media
Sunday was a very boring but I still found time to do the many joys I love doing. I started my day waking up and turning on not only my television but my laptop as well. While I'm on my laptop I like to listen to the background noise of the t.v. First website to vist FACEBOOK!!! Yes facebook runs my life it is my social connection to the world. I spent an hour of my day talking to people whether they're from the United States or 5 minutes away from my house in Israel. After, I decided to watch a popular show on the internet that I cant usualy watch on tv because they dont have it here. The internet has involved for us now to watch shows on our computers then flip stations on tv. The whole day I transition from T.V to Laptop and back becuase theres always something to veiw television and the internet is as part of our lives as our Family. Happy Birthday Dad!

Who Owns the Media?
Who owns the media? While we sit on our butts at home watching TV and surfing the internet we have yet to realize that big corporations such as Warner bros, CBS, and Disney are even owned by larger corporations acquiring money from your views. Did you know that Disney is the number 2 media corporation selling their cartoons like Mickey Mouse and Donald duck but now Disney as a corporation changed and to rank in new viewers they got rid of their cartoons and added TV stars such as Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) and Selina Gomez to appeal to their teenage and child audience. Media is a metaphor we like to use for evolution. We now that technology has evolved to fit our needs so is evolution or the minds of mankind that has shaped the way we use technology and how we own it? The media today is down by everyone it easy while we sit on our laptops we tend to forget that websites like YouTube, Face book, and even blogspoit.com anyone can post any media whether it would be news, videos, and photos everyone around use controls and uses media to distribute information worldwide plane. Children that are 11 years old can post anything they want on the internet and get millions of viewers, and because it’s the internet that they own, they control media.
